How to Use the Wallpaper Calculator

Choose your units, enter the wall area, the roll width and length, the pattern repeat and a wastage allowance, then press Calculate rolls to see how many rolls to buy.

What it accounts for

• The pattern repeat is deducted from the usable length of each roll, because matching drops wastes paper.
• A wastage allowance (default 10%) covers cuts, corners and future repairs.
• Rolls are rounded up from the area with wastage.

Getting a better number

Large patterns, many corners and rooms with lots of openings waste more, so raise the wastage allowance. For a full-drop pattern, expect to lose about one repeat per strip.
